From classics to newly written young adult novels, book series have always been a hit with book lovers. The characters that authors create come alive and are easy to get attached to. Their worlds and relationships are so beautifully crafted and detailed that once book 1 ends, we readers are left hungering for more. It can definitely be overwhelming when faced with so many series options – how will there ever be time to read all of them? Where to begin and how? Well this is where I, and this post, will come in for the rescue! I’ve decided to do some legwork for finding the best series of each genre and this first post will be all about sharing the Young Adult love! Each Book Box Set post will focus on a different genre, so make sure you’re subscribed to get the updates on your favorites. Alright, here are some young adult boxed set series that have great reviews and are well worth the read.

If there are any additional suggestions or some favorites you have – post them below or on social media using #BooksUnveiledReads

Young Adult

The Hunger Games:

The Hunger Games is one of my favorites, most people have seen or are at least aware of the movies. If you haven’t read these books – they are must reads! Plus this set is a beautiful edition.

“In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, “The Hunger Games,” a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she is forced to represent her district in the Games. The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed.”

Divergent:

Divergent is another must read and the movies do not do the books justice. Pick them up if you haven’t had the pleasure of reading these yet.

“One choice can transform you. Beatrice Prior’s society is divided into five factions—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). Beatrice must choose between staying with her Abnegation family and transferring factions. Her choice will shock her community and herself. But the newly christened Tris also has a secret, one she’s determined to keep hidden, because in this world, what makes you different makes you dangerous.”

The Selection:

The Selection is a scifi / fantasy series that readers of all ages really get to enjoy.

“For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The chance to live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon. But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her, and leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn’t want.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she’s made for herself—and realizes that the life she’s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.”

The Mortal Insruments

Cassandra Clare is a very popular and well-written author. Her best-selling Mortal Instruments series is one to add to your list.

“When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. And she’s more than a little startled when the body disappears into thin air. Soon Clary is introduced to the world of the Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of warriors dedicated to driving demons out of our world and back to their own. And Clary is introduced with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is almost killed by a grotesque monster. How could a mere human survive such an attack and kill a demon? The Shadowhunters would like to know…”

Vampire Academy

Vampire Academy is my guilty pleasure. Richelle Mead does a wonderful job creating a vampire world that is unique to others and will get you hooked. Don’t let the movie fool you – the books are worth the pick up.

“Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with an unbreakable bond to the earth’s magic. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa’s best friend, makes her a Dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making her one of them. Rose and Lissa must navigate through this dangerous world, confront the temptation of forbidden romance, and never once let their guard down, lest the Strigoi make Lissa one of them forever.”

Harry Potter

I realize that everyone and their neighbor knows about Harry Potter, even if they haven’t read the books (which if you haven’t, stop what you’ve doing now and start reading!), but I wanted to showcase this beautiful special set edition of the series. Simply stunnig.

“The perfect gift for collectors and new readers alike, we now present a breathtaking special edition boxed set of J. K. Rowling’s seven bestselling Harry Potter books! The box itself is beautifully designed with new artwork by Kazu Kibuishi, and the books create a gorgeous, magical vista when the spines are lined up together. The Harry Potter series has been hailed as “one for the ages” by Stephen King and “a spellbinding saga” by USA Today. Now is your chance to give this set to a reader who is ready to embark on the series that has changed so many young readers’ lives.”
